Western Scientists acknowledge Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, as a pioneer of the environment and modern ecology because his teachings include many hadiths, sayings, which command man to preserve the environment and not to abuse the earth or overexploit it. Francesca De Chatel, a researcher, says it could be said that Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, is a pioneer of environmental protection because “a closer reading of the hadith reveals that he was a staunch advocate of environmental protection and he was ‘“environmentalist avant la letter” and a pioneer of conservation, sustainable development and resource management, and one who constantly sought to maintain a harmonious balance between man and nature.” As we all know that the teachings of this merciful prophet organised people’s lives with their environment harmoniously for Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, commanded us to take care of the roads and streets because in one of his sayings, hadith, he commanded that harm should be removed from roads and considered this as an act of charity; Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, said “removing harm form roads is an act of charity.” Narrated by al-Bukhari and Imam Muslim.

In her book Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, a Pioneer of the Environment, Francesca De Chatel says about Prophet Mohammad: “He (SAW) was a strong proponent of the sustainable use and cultivation of land and water, proper treatment of animals, plants and birds, and the equal rights of users. In this context the modernity of the Prophet's (SAW) view of the environment and the concepts he introduced to his followers is particularly striking; certain passages of the hadith could easily be mistaken for discussions about contemporary environmental issues.” It could be said that the time of Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, was a time when ignorance prevailed for people looked at animals as creatures with no value, feelings or emotions. Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, however, commanded believers to take good care of creatures; he even called one of his great companions “Abu Hurairah” and hurairah in Arabic means kitten and Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, called him Abu Hurairah to encourage and support him for taking care of cats and treating them kindly. Thus, Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, is worthy of being described as the Prophet of mercy to mankind and all creatures. Allah, the great says:

“We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures.” Anbiya'a or the Prophets: 21: 107

It’s stated in Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, a Pioneer of the Environment that Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, highly respected plants and that “the Prophet's (SAW) environmental philosophy is first of all holistic: it assumes a fundamental link and interdependency between all natural elements and bases its teachings on the premise that if man abuses or exhausts one element, the natural world as a whole will suffer direct consequences.” It further states that “the Prophet (SAW) considered all of God's creations to be equal before God and he believed animals, but also land, forests and watercourses should have rights.” the holy Qur’an honored plants centuries ago and described it as noble; Allah, the almighty says:

“Do they not look at the earth,—how many noble things of all kinds we have produced therein?” Shu’ra or the Poets: 26: 7

Allah, the exalted also says:

“He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; And He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind. of noble creature, in pairs.” Luqman: 31:10

Today, scientists call on the significance of environmental conservation through taking care of streets and cities’ cleanliness, an attitude that has a positive impact on the safety of man, plants, and animals. Francesca De Chatel says that Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, took care of the environment especially the land for “he emphasized the sacred nature of soil as a pure entity” and in fact science has proven that soil contains antibiotics that kill germs. Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, said: “The earth has been created for me as a mosque and as a means of purification.” In this hadith, there’s a great prophetic indication to the purification of the earth's soil and the necessity of its conservation because believers prostrate on it and thus it’s our duty to preserve the earth and not to misuse it.

Some objective Western researchers say after reading the hadith of Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, “even in the slaughter of animals, the Prophet (SAW) showed great gentleness and sensitivity. While he did not practice vegetarianism, the hadiths clearly show that the Prophet was extremely sensitive to the suffering of animals. Thus he recommends using sharp knives and a good method so that the animal can die a quick death with as little pain as possible. He also warned against slaughtering an animal in the presence of other animals, or letting the animal witness the sharpening of blades: to him that was equal to "slaughtering the animal twice"; Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, said: “Allah Who is Blessed and Exalted, has prescribed benevolence toward everything {and has ordained that everything be done in a good way}; so, when you must kill a living being, do it in the best manner and, when you slaughter an animal, you should {use the best method and} sharpen your knife so as to cause the animal as little pain as possible.” narrated by Imam Muslim. Prophet Mohammad also said to a man who was sharpening his knife in the presence of the animal: "do you intend inflicting death on the animal twice - once by sharpening the knife within its sight, and once by cutting its throat?' Hence, isn’t this prophet worthy of respect and reverence?

Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, warned against extravagance in everything even when man is by the side of a river, he shouldn’t waste and overuse water with no need or necessity and the drought of rivers that were witnessing today is but the result of extreme extravagance in overusing water.

Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, therefore, prevented polluting waters (through the prevention of urinating in stagnant waters). Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, prevented the urination in water so as not pollute it and to conserve water sources. Abu Hurairah narrated Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, as saying: “don’t urinate in stagnant water that's not flowing and then wash in it." narrated by Imam Muslim. Taking care of useful animals such as horses; Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, said that good will remain (as a permanent quality) in the foreheads of horses. This hadith tells us that we should take care of horses and other useful animals for man. Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, also prohibited killing and torturing animals, so he asserted in the noble hadith that “a woman was doomed to hell because she imprisoned a cat for she didn’t give the cat food or drink nor did she free it to eat the insects of the earth.” This hadith teaches us the importance of taking care of animals and not causing their death as well as the necessity of treating them kindly. Besides, Allah, the exalted talks about the significance of the creatures around us and says that everything in this universe glorifies him and celebrates his praise; Allah says in the holy Qur'an:

“The seven heavens and the earth, and all beings therein, declare His glory: There is not a thing

but celebrates His praise; and yet ye understand not how they declare His glory! Verily He is oft-Forbearing, Most Forgiving!” Isra’a: 17: 44

Accordingly, all creatures glorify Allah and celebrate his praise and the above verse points out that the creatures around us have a value and that they are not to be hurt or abused because they worship Allah, the great and celebrate his praises.

Researchers say that in laboratory experiments, the clay was found to wipe out bug colonies in a day. They say that clay kills deadly bacteria, including salmonella and a flesh-eating disease called buruli, which is a relative of lep rosy. They confirm that in a handful of clay there are hundreds of million Organisms where we can find many useful kinds of bacteria.

Also, a recent study by Dr. Linda Williams and Dr. Shelley E. Haydel from Arizona State University concluded that clay may be used as a healer.

Another miracle is represented in the Hadith of the prophet peace be upon him as he says:(To purify one's vessel licked by a dog, he should wash it seven times, the first time is with dust) and Abu-Horaira said that the Prophet also said: (If a dog licked in one's vessel, he should clear it then washes it seven times) [Narrated by Muslim].

The two Hadith refer to the importance of clearing and purging the vessel that is licked by a dog by washing it seven times of which the first time is by dust. Science say that dust contains an antiseptic substance, the dog's saliva contains pathogens and that the vessel couldn't be cleaned except by washing it with dust and water.

It is shown from the Hadith that the Prophet peace be upon him has referred to a scientific fact that wasn't discovered except in the 20th century and this indicates that He peace be upon him doesn't say anything from himself but He always says what Allah Almighty taught him as He peace be upon him lived in the seventh century when no one was aware of this medical fact.

A recent satellite image of the Empty Quarter in the Arabian Peninsula has shown that there were a huge lake as well as a number of rivers that were buried by the sand thousands of years ago. Astrologists at NASA are trying to predict the future of this area and the scientific studies assert that it will return as meadows and rivers once again as it was within the coming few years. There’s a miraculous hadith of Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, that represents one of his miracles and confirms that the desert of the Arabian Peninsula was full of rivers and meadows; he says: “the Day of Judgment won’t take place until the land of the Arabs returns to being pastures and rivers." narrated by Imam Muslim. Scientific researchers say that the climate cycle moves from one area to another and after a certain period of time, it will rain heavily in the Empty Quarters which will make the rivers to be formed and the plants to grow just as they were five thousand years ago.

Scientific facts confirm that the falling of enormous meteors on earth is preceded by the formation of intensive clouds that precede hitting the meteor with the earth. As we can see in the picture, a cloud was formed before a meteor fell in Russia (15/282013). We glorify Allah because astrologists say that this sight which we see today and about which no one knew before was revealed in the holy Qur'an in a magnificent verse; Allah says:

Were they to see

A piece of the sky (Kesaf)

Falling (on them), they

Would (only) say: "Clouds

Gathered in heaps!" Tur: 44

The word kesaf means a piece of stone which couldn’t be seen and instead we see the clouds that result from the friction of such stone with the atmosphere and the burning of parts of it thus we see the smoky clouds first. This is exactly described in the holy Qur'an.

The earth has a marvelous design for it looks flat to us upon walking tough it's actually round. In fact, if it weren't for such a design, we wouldn’t have enjoyed living on it. Such a distinguished feature is found in the holy Qur'an; Allah says:

“By the Earth

And its (wide) expanse; [tahaha] Shams or the Sun: 6

Tahaha means expands it. All Glory and Praise to Allah.

The question is who could have informed Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, about such whirlwinds at a time when no one on earth knew anything about them? It is definitely Allah, the Almighty.

The Earth is surrounded by a very strong magnetic field. This field repels particles emitted from the sun called the deadly solar wind. Scientists confirm that the sun transmits more than thousand millions kilogram of hazardous substances every second. Of course, a part of these substances gets close to the earth and dissipate on the borders of the magnetosphere of the Earth. Allah, the Almighty has provided the earth’s cover with such astounding ability to repel the deadly solar attack. These objects are electronic radiations, beams of protons and ionized atoms of most known elements. They are traveling faster than the speed of sound of up to 800 kilometers per second. When they collide with the Earth's magnetic field their speed would reduce below the speed of sound, canceling their effectiveness. Scientists say, if it was not for the presence of this field in this area life would have disappeared on Earth! This magnetic field, which we do not feel, is a great blessing. Allah, the Almighty informed us about them. Allah stated in Glorious Quran AlAnbiya [The Prophets] 21:32, ‘And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)!’ Glory be to Allah, the Almighty.

The Holy Qur’an has very clearly made this claim more than 1400 years before any such discovery: {See they not that We gradually reduce the land (in their *******) from its outlying borders?} [Al-Ra’d, 13:41]. Who is it that could have informed the Prophet (peace be upon it) of such an intricate scientific fact?

Photographs have been taken of the Earth and its rotation around itself. If we take a closer look at these photographs and fast-forward them, we will notice how darkness and light constantly chase each other; that is, they follow each other, but neither light surpasses dark, nor dark surpasses light. This can never happen, because if they did overlap, we would see night during the day, and day during the night! In other words, darkness constantly chases light, but never overtakes it.

It must be remembered that these discoveries of the Earth’s movement and of the relationship between night and day have required expertise, space voyages, money, decades of research and much more.

Interestingly, we find that the Holy Qur’an has also quite precisely acknowledged this connection between night and day, highlighting the fact that night follows day: {He draweth the night as a veil o'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession} (Al A’raf, 7:54). Indeed, it has been proven that the Earth is indeed very fast in its rotation around itself, however, we do not feel this at all, and this is one of God’s mercies upon us that we often take for granted!

The length of the earth greatest zone is about 12756 Km in the direction of the Equator, and the length of the smallest zone is 12713 Km in the direction of the two poles. It is worth to mention that geologists say that zones of earth differ from point to another on the surface of earth

Also it is the same concerning zones inside earth as the deepest point ever reached by man is 12 km in oceans, can man reach a deep of 12000Km!! ?


Practically a journey to the nucleus of earth is impossible because of the huge pressure and the high temperature.


Allah Almighty says: (O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)){ Sûrat Ar-Rahmân - The Most Gracious -verse33}.


Look attentively at that holy verse as Allah Almighty tells us that there are zones of earth and not one zone. Who told our prophet this scientific fact 1400 years ago? Isn’t clear evidence that Qur’an is not a human made and it is descended from Allah Almighty?

It is a great grace from Allah Almighty that He made night and day follow one another as recent science proved that if earth is not revolves around itself then one side of earth would be night and the other side would be day. He Almighty reminds us by that grace by saying: (Say (O Muhammad): "Tell me! If Allah made night continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you light? Will you not then hear?"* Say (O Muhammad ): "Tell me! If Allah made day continuous for you till the Day of Resurrection, who is an ilah (a god) besides Allah who could bring you night wherein you rest? Will you not then see?"* It is out of His Mercy that He has put for you night and day, that you may rest therein (i.e. during the night) and that you may seek of His Bounty (i.e. during the day), and in order that you may be grateful){Sûrat Al-Qasas-The Narration-verse 71-73}

This photo was released recently and no one knew about it when Qur'an was descended. How this fact is mentioned in Qur'an? Indeed because Allah Almighty is the one who descended that great book and He is the only creator of everything.

1- The fault (split)


Recent scientists found that the earth crust was formed millions of years ago and the faults started to appear on it which formed what was called the tectonic plates, the lava flows out from these faults. This new discovery wasn’t known at the time of prophet Mohamed peace be upon him, but Allah Almighty told us about this geological fact 1400 years ago as He Almighty says: (And the earth which splits*Verily! This (the Qur'an) is the Word that separates (the truth fromfalsehood, and commands strict legal laws for mankind to cut the roots of evil).),){Sûrat At-Târiq-verse 12-13}.Allah Almighty tells us that the Qur’an is the word that separates the truth from falsehood after He mentioned that geological fact which is clear evidence that the one who descended that holy book of Qur’an is Allah Almighty

2- Zones of earth


It’s a known scientific fact that man can’t penetrate earth because of the high temperature in its center (thousands of Celsius), also in its center there are flaming rocks and high pressures where no material on earth can afford. Allah Almighty told us this fact fourteen centuries ago as He says: (O assembly of jinns and men! If you have power to pass beyond the zones of the heavens and the earth, then pass (them)! But you will never be able to pass them, except with authority (from Allah)!){Sûrat Ar-Rahmân-The Most Gracious-vesre33}.

3- Rotation of earth


Earth rotates every day around its axis in a circular movement, its speed reach 1670km/h which is faster than Speed of sound (1200km/h) but we don’t feel this high speed. Also earth is rotating one complete turn each year around sun, its speed during that movement reach 100,000km/halso both earth and sun are rotating around center of the galaxy every 200 million years to complete one turn!!! And the entire galaxy rotates in a magnificent huge orbit, Allah Almighty says :( They all float, each in an orbit.){Sûrat Yâ-Sîn –verse 40}

Now, recent scientists teaches this photo in the greatest universities as it proves the presence of an aquatic partition separates the sweet river from the salted sea at the downstream and they consider these partitions as one of the nature wonders that maintain the environmental balance. Allah Almighty referred to this scientific fact hundreds of years before those scientists, He the Exalted says: (And it is He Who has let free the two seas (kinds of water): this is palatable and sweet, and that is salt and bitter; and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them) (Sûrat Al-Furqân-The Criterion verse 53)

Our Earth seems quiet and peaceful but its core is extremely hot active with collisions. And of Allah's blesses on us that we hardly ever feel the earth's activities in order facilitate stable and quite life that we enjoy. This is a great blessing from Allah The Almighty and we should thank Him for gracing us with it.

Sometimes, some of the earth's activities surface in the form of earthquakes, Tsunami or terrible mudslides and landslides therefore, the earth isn't as quiet and peaceful as we thought it to be. It could even be Man's worse enemy at some point.

Landslides happen because of a flood or a sudden movement of the rocks of a cliff or because of heavy rain in which a part of the earth slides over the other causing this phenomena.

Our earth isn't made of one single mass but from a group of plates or pieces positioned one next to the other and separated by cracks. These plates move few inches every year and even if their movements are very slow and we can't feel them but in years they form great massive pressures as a result of their movement that are focused at their ends or at the cracks area at the points of impact.

Landslides cause huge financial losses in the United States of about 2 billion dollars a year. They are a sudden flow of a part of the soil and rocks of the land with a quake that destroys everything in their way.

Landslides

One of the phenomena that we see and have been recorded by the cameras of scientists are Landslides. The plates of the earth underneath us are in a slow constant movement and sometimes they collide with each other causing violent waves that move to the surface causing collapses in some parts of the land leading to slides in the land, violent movement of soil and its massive erosion and pass through habituated areas and destroys them in very short time. The most violent of those landslides are those resulting from the movement of a palate and its collision with another leading to one of them diving underneath or being swallowed while the other rises above.

This picture shows the flow of mud that covered some parts of the town which happened during a very short period of time. This is called mudslide which occurs due to heavy rain that mixes with the soil and make a mobile mixture that sweeps away everything in its way.

The characteristics of this phenomena:

When scientists examined landslides, they found that they have a group of characteristics. However, these studies weren't completed until the 20th century and using the laws of physics and mathematics and the usage of Seismometers. Their characteristics are as follows:

1. Flowing: the most important characteristic of landslides is that the soils and rocks flow down an area and destroy everything in their way. This flow is similar to the flow of liquids and fluids.

2. Trembling: landslides are highly unstable for soils and rocks mix and tremble because of the seismic waves resulting from collision of the palates therefore, they are very sudden, violent and unstable.

3. Motion: abrupt, violent and sudden movement of the soil is one characteristic of landslides that cause massive destruction because the collapse of one part of the earth casing it to slide underneath another part causes great pressure that leads to the rapid movement of this part sweeping away rocks and soil.

4. Waves: the seismic movement of the soil is similar to the waves of the sea. All earthquakes, collapses, tsunamis and other destructive phenomena generate massive pressure waves which increases their destructive powers.

5. Running: many landslides occur during the rainy season so the rain mixes with soil forming mud that moves like a liquid and sweeps everything it its path like trees, houses, cattle, power lines, cars and bridges without any warning.

Landslides move very rapidly at times and slowly but sudden at others. The smallest components of soil, rock and mud mix together forming a flowing liquid as tough as sea waves.

Now, let us ask this question: is there a word in the Quran with absolute accuracy? As we know the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad in the 7th century when no one on the face of this earth knew anything about landslides and what causes them. They were only examined scientifically in our modern age after the invention of the appropriate machines, however, the Quran has splendidly described them ….

The Quran talks about landslides

Let us examine this great ayah in which Allah the Almighty has warned us from the collapse of the earth:" Do ye feel secure that

He Who is in Heaven will not cause you to be swallowed up by the earth when it shakes (as in an earthquake)?(Al-Mulk:16). In this ayah a word that represents a scientific miracle which is /tamūr/( translated as "shakes"), so what does this word mean? And could the meaning include all the characteristics of landslides previously discussed? Lets view the Muhit dictionary.

A landslide destroys everything in its way such as trees, cars and houses … as if we were in front of a part of the land that changes suddenly into an unstable mobile fluid. And this is exactly what the word /tamūr/ means. Isn't the Quran a Book of miracles.

Ice areas aren’t an exception for an Avalanche is much more destructive than that of soil because the speed of the flowing ice due to the collapse and slide of some parts is very great even more violent than the power of floods. The same characteristics apply to this phenomena because an avalanche flows, runs and is highly unstable.

The meaning os /tamūr/ has many meanings mainly:

1. Flowing 2. Instability 3. Motion 4. Waves 5. Running

Which are all the characteristics of a landslide. But the meaning of the ayah doesn't stop at this , it also refers to the collapse that results from earthquakes as well as tsunami. These phenomena are described using the word/tamūr/ accurately with great details. In addition, if we examine the dictionary meaning of /khasf/ (translated as "swallowed up") it means:

/khasafa/ means: some of its parts are gone. And /khasafa al makan/ means gone into the earth and /khasafa al shai'/ means to break or cut it. /kusifat al-aein/ means gone and disappeared. And it is said/ Allah collapses the earth with John in it means that He caused him to disappear in it. And /akhaseef/ are elastic lands.

All these meanings together form the characteristics of landslides because the occurrence of a landslide requires the movement of a part of the land causing some parts to disappear and dive under the waves of flowing mud turning that area into a dough-like land which is the meaning of /khasf/.

The Quran indicated that this phenomenon occurs without humans feeling it. And scientists confirm that landslides are unpredictable and can be predicted very short time before they occur; Allah syas:" Do then those who devise evil (plots) feel secure that God will not cause the earth to swallow them up, or that the wrath will not seize them from directions they little perceive?" (Al-Nahl:45).

There is also a Quranic reference of the collapse and movement of the palates of the earth as Allah says:" Do ye then feel secure that He will not cause you to be swallowed up beneath the earth when ye are on land, or that He will not send against you a violent tornado (With showers of stones) so that ye shall find no one to carry out your affairs for you?(Al-Isra'a: 68). The miraculous aspect is clarified in /janib al bar (translated as " when ye are on land" which in Arabic carries a reference to the ends of the palates the dives underneath due to the collision with another palate causing collapses, tsunami and other destructive phenomena.

Some of the gentle references in the Quran

Scientists confirm that the earth has seven layers and the Quran referred to this in a wonderful ayah: " God is He Who Created seven Firmaments And of the earth A similar number. Through the midst Of them (all) descends His Command: that ye may Know that God has power Over all things, and that God comprehends all things In (His) Knowledge."(Al-talaq:12). Strangely enough that the collapse of the earth was repeated in the Quran exactly seven times as the number of the layers of the earth.

Finally

We say praise be to Allah for how could one word /tamūr/ could express all five characteristics of landslides? And how could another word /yakhsif/ to accurately express the nature of the phenomenon and its results? It is indeed the word of Allah that could never be imitated and never altered. This indicates the inimitability of the word of Allah that distinguishes it from the words of man. Human need several words or sentences to express the nature of this phenomenon while the Quran choose of thousands of words the suitable one that give the exact accurate meaning that no other word could express. This shows the inimitability of the Quran and that it is indeed revealed from Allah;" Say: "The (Qur-ān) was sent down by Him Who knows The Mystery (that is) in the heavens and the earth: verily He Is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (Al-furqan:6).

The seven layers of the Earth’s atmosphere

Are the seven layers of the Earth’s atmosphere the same as the seven skies the noble Quran talked about? Through this article, we will correct this misunderstanding ….
Scientists have found that the Earth’s atmosphere consists of layers positioned on top of each other, and that these layers differ according to their density. Hence, scientists have set seven different layers of the Earth’s atmosphere. Moreover, the number “7” has many indications in the Quran and in the prophet’s sayings (peace be upon him).

Though, some scientists agree that these layers are exactly the same as the seven skies the Quran has mentioned about. Allah (SWT) said: “And we adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps to be as an adornment as well as to guard. Such is the Decree of Him, the All Mighty, the All- Knower” [Fussilat: 12]. Lamps refer to the stars which, as we know, are located external to the earth’s atmosphere and even external to our solar system. In addition, the closest star to us is 4.3 light years distant from us.

When visualizing the galaxies in the universe, we find that they consist of billions of stars which are to decorate the skies. We can say that the stars and the galaxies we see are in the nearest sky because Allah Almighty says: “we adorned the nearest (lowest) heaven with lamps to be as an adornment” (Sûrat Al-Mulk -verse5 ). Meaning that these stars decorate the first sky that is closest to us and that Allah Almighty is the only One who knows regarding the rest of the skies.

In conclusion, the earth’s atmospheric layers, our solar system and all the galaxies are located in the first sky. However, the second sky, the third, the forth…. even the seventh haven’t yet been seen. But scientists may discover the secrets of these skies in the future, and Allah (SWT) knows --------------------

In every word in the Qur'an there is a miracle, in this article we will study the word "exploited "which means offering a service for no return,…

In the Qur'an there are many signs for many discoveries but first we have to think and concentrate in words of Allah, as He almighty had exploited and offered us many services for no return such as: the sun which offers heat, light and recently the generation of electric energy.


Also Allah had exploited the sea with its different blessings as one of these blessings is to get free benefits from the surface waves and the internal waves of the seas.


From where do these waves come?


Because of the difference in temperature on earth, we find differences in pressure and density from point to another as these differences cause the winds. These winds cause the movement of water on the surface of seas to form waves which moves toward the shore, one advantage of these waves is carrying amount of kinetic energy during its movement from middle of the sea to the shore.


Energy of the surface waves


Today, scientists of energy get benefits from sea waves, as they put special tools on the surface of water, when the waves start to raise and drop these tools, a mechanical motion is generated which produce an electric energy, this energy can be transformed through wires to get benefits from it. [1]


In 1799 monsieur Girard, a French man and his son were the first people to use waves to generate energy.

An electricity generation unit is floating on an ocean; by the movement of waves this unit transforms the mechanical motion to an electric energy.


Energy of the internal waves


In Britain, they are getting benefits from under sea currents which are resulted from tide waves. This source of energy is considered to be clean and safe source of power. The used technique is by fixing Propellers or turbines under the sea, and then the movement of tide waves is transformed to a mechanical energy.

A new idea is to fixing Propellers or turbines under the sea to generate electrical energy [2]


Scientists believe that this source is better than winds energy because movement of waves are regular so it can be studied well, also its volume and power can be expected which enable better design for turbines. [3]


The propeller's diameter is 20 meters and it can be fixed up to 30 meters undersea.


In 2001the consumed amount of electric energy by different methods in Britain are as the following:


1. The electrical energy from renewable sources is 2%.


2. The electrical energy from coal is 33%.


3. The electrical energy from natural gas is 37%.


4. The nuclear electrical energy is 22%.


Tide which is executed by the moon on the sea is a free blessing from God be He blessed and exalted, He says: (Allah is He Who has created the heavens and the earth and sends down water (rain) from the sky, and thereby brought forth fruits as provision for you; and He has made the ships to be of service to you, that they may sail through the sea by His Command; and He has made rivers (also) to be of service to you* And He has made the sun and the moon, both constantly pursuing their courses, to be of service to you; and He has made the night and the day, to be of service to you.* And He gave you of all that you asked for, and if you count the Blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them. Verily, man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, a disbeliever (an extreme ingrate who denies Allah's Blessings by disbelief and by worshipping others besides Allah, and by disobeying Allah and His Prophet Muhammad) (Sûrat Ibrâhîm- verse 32-34).


It is great verses which tell us about the blessings of Allah. The ebb and flow is one of these blessings that Allah almighty had exploited to man by His infinite power without any effort by that man, God says: (Allah, it is He Who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful.)(Sûrat Al-Jâthiyah- verse12).


Here we have to understand the meaning of the word "Subjected" as it means doing a work without a reward" free of charge". [4]

Today, the scientists are trying to benefit from the huge and free energy of sea waves which was exploited by God [5] God be He exalted says: (And He it is who has subjected the sea (to you), that you eat thereof fresh tender meat (i.e. fish), and that you bring forth out of it ornaments to wear. And you see the ships ploughing through it, that you may seek (thus) of His Bounty and that you may be grateful.)(Sûrat An-Nahl-verse 14).


Future of that new source


1. This source of energy is safe and without dangers.


2. The energy of sea waves is larger than the energy of winds.


3. The energy of sea waves is permanent (24 /7 all the year) but the solar energy is only available in day and energy of winds is not constant.


4. The resulting electricity by power of wavers is more stable [6].


The question, isn’t a great grace from God who subjected these waves to offer a free of charge services? God says: (Allah, it is He who has subjected to you the sea).


The produced energy by waves depends on its length, height, speed and density of water.

Researchers say that: a wave with a height of 15 meter and its time is 15 second can generates 1700 kilowatt for each square meter [7] . Also they say that the energy of waves is more than the energy of ebb and flow.


The resulted energy from difference in temperature


God be He exalted had created temperature on sea surface to be high because of the sun but it is low in the deep , that difference can be used to generate electric energy.


In 1929, George Claude a French engineer had invented an electric generation unit which produced 22 KW by utilizing the difference in temperature between sea surface and a specific deep. [8]


Researchers tell us that it is an old fashion technique but scientists are working hard to make a touched progress.

The generated energy from the sea is one of the best kinds of natural energy, it is clean, safe and it will not deplete also it is a free grace from Allah almighty, Do we thank Allah for His graces?


The energy from currents in oceans


Oceans cover more than 70% of the earth's surface, making them the world's largest solar collectors, so that oceans are considered to be the largest power house on earth. But, what is ocean current energy?


The massive oceanic surface currents of the world are untapped reservoirs of energy. Their total energy flux has been estimated at 2.8 ¥ 1014 (280 trillion) watt-hours. Because of their link to winds and surface heating processes, the ocean currents are considered as indirect sources of solar energy.


These currents exist under the sea surface as there are currents till the deepest point in the sea. [9].


One of the primary advantages of this technology is the energy density. While solar and wind systems are well-suited for remote off grid ********s, ocean energy is ideal for large-scale developments in the multiple gigawatt range. Sea water is 832 times as dense as air, providing a 5 knot ocean current with more kinetic energy than a 350 km/h wind.


According to Devon Girard (an expert with Blue Energy and ocean energy developer) the blue energy Power System acts as a series of underwater windmills exposed to daily hurricane forces. The tremendous volume and density of ocean currents allows that technology to satisfy large electricity demands efficiently. Ocean currents are one of the largest untapped renewable energy resources on the planet. Preliminary surveys show a global potential of over 450,000 MW, representing a market of more than US$550 billion.


Here, we have to mention that the Qur'an had preceded scientists to talk about the deep currents in seas which the Qur'an called "waves", God says: (Or [the state of a disbeliever] is like the darkness in a vast deep sea, overwhelmed with waves topped by waves, topped by dark clouds, (layers of) darkness upon darkness: if a man stretches out his hand, he can hard see it! And he for whom Allah has not appointed light, for him there is no light.)(Sûrat an-Nûr - verse 40).


The blue energy


Blue energy is the retrieved energy from the difference in salt concentration between seawater and river water. This byproduct is the result of natural forces that are being harnessed: the flow of fresh water into seas that are made up of salt water. That energy can be used in electric generating. [10], God says: (He has made rivers (also) to be of service to you) (Sûrat Ibrâhîm- verse 32).


Also, Allah almighty says: (Allah, it is He who has subjected to you the sea, that ships may sail through it by His Command, and that you may seek of His Bounty, and that you may be thankful.)(Sûrat Al-Jâthiyah- verse 12), in this verse there is a nice sign that Allah had subjected the sea for us to get benefits from it.


Hence today, we find the scientists are working to generate electric energy from sea waves, offshore wind and inner currents [11].


After all of the above we have to say: (Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts)* and verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!) (Sûrat Az-Zukhruf- verse 13-14).

Rains and winds

Winds have a vital role in forming clouds and descending rains, this reality was discovered only few years ago , but the Qur'an told us fourteen century ago about that fact, let us read ….

Meteorologists have made many experiments about the mechanism of forming clouds and descending of rains. After many theories they proved that winds have an important role in forming the clouds as it carries water vapor from seas and oceans to the air's upper layers, but the water atoms have to be collected and condensed to form clouds.


Here the winds start to fertilize the clouds, how does it occur? Winds carry dust atoms and fine salt and these atoms ascend to the upper layers (up to many kilometers) where temperature is very low to form drops which make heavy clouds weighing thousands of tons!!

Scientists discovered that clouds in the sky have a huge weight which is up to millions of tons. In spite of that weight clouds still there. Indeed, Allah almighty is the doer of that as He subjected all physical rules like density rule and gravity rule as without these rules clouds might be gone and life on earth will stop.

Allah almighty had subjected all physical rules to ******* movement of water, its dissolving and evaporation, the disturbance of any rule may cause the water to goes inside the ground and life to end. Glory to Allah who says: (And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.)(Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn- verse18).


The Qur'an tells us about the role of winds in fertilizing the clouds, God says: (And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse22).In this verse we can find many scientific miracles:


1. The word (send) is a precise word from the scientific point of view because sending operation should be organized and that what the scientists had found in the maps of winds distribution which were taken by satellite.


2. Winds fertilize the clouds which cause rains to descend from the sky.


3. The descended water is pure and drinkable.


4. The descended water is stored in great banks underground for millions of years.


All of these fact were summarized in only one verse, the question is: are these precise and eloquent facts a human made?


We have to admit that any disturbance in only one cause of rains will leads to scarcity of sweet water and increase in salt water, then life will be contaminated.


Fourteen years ago no one had got the knowledge about forming rains or knew anything about role of the winds in forming rains, but the new science confirmed all of that.


Hence, mentioning these facts in the Qur'an is a testimony that this book is sincere and that Islam is the religion of truth.

From twenty four thousand years ago ,ice was covering earth in what is called "the ice age" when ice covered all earth up to thousands of meters of height , and today scientists started to tell us precisely about that era: temperature, weather, structure of the atmosphere ,etc… but how did they get these information?

Today scientists are searching in the dust layers about secrets of creation, they noticed that each layer record a specific time of earth's age, here we remember God's saying: (Say: "Travel in the land and see how (Allah) originated the creation) (Sûrat Al-‘Ankabût- verse20)!!This is a clear sign that people will find secrets of origination of life inside the earth.


One researcher started to cut a piece of ice in the Alps, then he discovered that it is 24000 years old and after analyzing and testing that piece he discovered some fine lines as each line is describing the status of the weather in one year. The air between its atoms was preserved despite the long time, so that they called this operation "the preserved record".

A section of an ice plate in the depth of 1800 meter, we can see the lines as each line represents specific age of that ice, look how Allah almighty had stored the history in these plates and He ordered us to travel around earth to discover the origination of life.


The same operation had been repeated by astronomers in the space as they started to pick up some small meteors which fall on earth and after analysis they discovered that it contains a full recode about its history, so that they discovered the status of universe 4000 million years ago!


They did that through analyzing the meteor (its atoms and the remaining amount of radiation in it).

A fallen meteor which penetrated the atmosphere. After studying it by scientists they discovered that it contains some secrets about the emergence of the universe, these meteors are loaded with organic particles which are the basis of life.


This operation was repeated by the geologists, as they discovered the age of earth by analyzing the rocks, also one of those geologists was descended in a coal mine as he found flowing water. After analyzing this water he discovered that the age of this water is up to millions of years. Inside the water there were living organisms which lives in the water and they are growing despite the absence of light and air. He discovered the status of the weather at that time.

A section of a tree trunk which illustrate many rings and after studying each ring the scientists discovered that it stores information about specific time. Glory to Allah who stored these secrets inside those creatures.


The same was repeated while studying age of man on earth as they discovered a preserved record inside each cell in human cells. When they found a Human skull which is one hundred thousand years ago , after analyzing its atoms they discovered that every thing was stored in these bones :the human structure, his specification , average of his age and what kind of food and drink he was eating and drinking.


After all of the above we conclude that everything is stored in records which are the atoms. All of these discoveries were found in the twenty century. Allah almighty told us in His book about all of that in a verse when the atheists and skeptics were wondering about the fact of resurrecting people after their death and after they had been transferred to dust. God be he blessed and exalted had replied: (We know that which the earth takes of them (their dead bodies), and with us is a Book preserved (i.e. the Book of Decrees).)(Sûrat Qâf- verse 4).


Hence, we the human knows about all of these past events, what about the knowledge of Allah?

The pure water

Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) said in a prophetic Hadith that the water is pure and nothing can impure it, is there any scientific study concerning that matter?
Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) said: (water is pure, nothing can impure it) {narrated by Al- termezi and Al- nasaei}.God be He blessed and exalted says: (and we send down pure water from the sky.)(Sûrat Al-Furqân -verse48), also God says×(And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores) (Sûrat A-Hijr - verse22).
Ibn Kathir (Islamic scholar) says in explaining the meaning of (and it is not you who are the owners of its stores): it means that Allah almighty is the only one who descended and keep that water as springs in earth ,Glory to Allah!
Today, the scientists confirm that storing water underground purifies and sterilizes the water to be drinkable, Allah reminds us with that grace, and so will we thank Him for that?
It is a tremendous grace that Allah almighty had made great warehouses under the ground to store the pure water. What is the new thing concerning that matter?
The scientists were trying for many years to use many methods to purify the water on earth which is polluted by micro-organisms which cause many diseases, so they invented the water purification stations and different kinds of filters also they discovered different kinds of purification methods.
The most amazing way to purifying the water was discovered by the microbiologist Dr Simon Toze who invented a very simple and cheap method to purify the water by storing it in the underground layers for couple of months. He says that this method is enough to kill all harmful kinds of micro-organisms which cause many diseases like: Polio, diarrhea diseases and different kind of serious viral diseases.
This method is called "geo purification method" as Allah allows the ground to absorb all kinds of bacteria, viruses, oils, fats, dirt and other contaminants.
The scientists were confused about this amazing technique as Dr Simon says:
"We know the pollution goes, but we don't know how"
Also he says: (The success of that technique depends on many local variables -what sort of aquifers are available to store water, the conditions that exist underground, the types of microbes in the stored water, nutrient levels and what sort of microbes exist underground to cleanse the water).
One scientist asked a question: we know that water purifies everything, so how can we purify the water from impurities? After a long research they found that dust contains sterilizing materials which kill all kinds of germs, here we find that Allah almighty had exploited these materials which were deposited in the dust to be a magnificent and free way to purify the water, God says: (And has subjected to you all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth; it is all as a favour and kindness from Him. Verily, in it are signs for a people who think deeply.)(Sûrat Al-Jâthiyah-verse13).
The scientists say that without these characteristics in the dust, we wouldn’t be able to drink pure water. So God be He blessed and exalted says: (and we give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores).

In the following picture we will see how Allah be He exalted drives the water cycle, the Qur'an talked very precisely about these facts…


The Qur'an told us in a scientific way about all related facts to the water cycle and descending of rains. Let us look attentively at these holy verses which speak about every part of the water cycle.

• The sun is the driver of the aquatic cycle, God says And we have made (therein) a shining lamp (sun).)(Sûrat An-Naba’-verse13). Sun spreads the necessary heat and light to evaporate water and to form winds.
• Winds are the second driver of the aquatic cycle, God says ( And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like].)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse 22).
• Water which descends from the clouds is stored in the ground for hundreds of years without being spoiled ,taking into consideration that anyone may store the water for only couple of days it will spoil; God says( it is not you who are the owners of its stores) ( Sûrat A-Hijr- verse 22).
• After evaporation of water it condenses in the sky in form of clouds, then winds fertilize the clouds, God says ) And we send the winds fertilizing) (Sûrat A-Hijr- verse 22).
• The Qur'an told us about the high heavy clouds which are responsible for rains and ice, God says: (See you not that Allah drives the clouds gently, then joins them together, then makes them into a heap of layers, and you see the rain comes forth from between them; and He sends down from the sky hail (like) mountains, (or there are in the heaven mountains of hail from where He sends down hail), and strikes therewith whom He wills, and averts it from whom He wills. The vivid flash of its (clouds) lightning nearly blinds the sight)(Sûrat An-Nûr-verse43)
• The water" which descends" is stored inside the ground in form of sweet springs to enable life to continue, God says: (See you not that Allah sends down water (rain) from the sky, and causes it to penetrate the earth, (and then makes it to spring up) as water-springs, and afterward thereby produces crops of different colors, and afterward they wither and you see them turn yellow; then He makes them dry and broken pieces. Verily, in this is a Reminder for men of understanding.)(Sûrat Az-Zumar-verse21). If these crops are not transferred to the yellow to be dry and broken pieces and if it remained Green, the cycle of plant wouldn't be renewed and we wouldn't get benefit from those broken pieces which transfer to be oil over hundreds of yeas.
• Scientists say that all of these operations are according to very organized and constant physical laws, God says: (And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.)(Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn-verse18). Look at the word "in due" which refers to discipline and arrangement.
• The most important part in this cycle, what is happening at the area which is called the mouth (where rivers flow in seas), Qur'an says: (And it is He who has let free the two seas (kinds of water): this is palatable and sweet, and that is salt and bitter; and He has set a barrier and a complete partition between them.)(Sûrat Al-Furqân-verse 53) .Unless Rivers are flowing in seas, those seas would be drought. That what happened in the Aral Sea which was supplying by two rivers and because of a human interruption by stopping that supplying, the sea became empty.
• Scientists say that mountains have a vital role in the descending of rains, forming the clouds and in water purification. God says: (And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains, and have given you to drink sweet water?)(Sûrat Al-Mursalât- verse 27).In this verse a clear link between the mountains and the sweet water.

These verses were descended 1400 year ago, with a precise description for the water cycle which was discovered 100 years ago! Isn't this a proof that the Qur'an is the book of Allah?

The believer needs to look attentively at creatures of God to increase his faith, mountains are wonderful creatures which have many benefits….let us read and see some wonderful photos….
Scientists confirm that the mountains are so important to our earth also they are a clear manifest that Allah is the great creator ….also scientists tell us that these mountains have many benefits such as:
The mountains contribute in fixing earth crust because its long and deep pegs, God says: (Have we not made the earth as a bed*and the mountains as pegs?)(Sûrat An-Naba’- verse 6-7).
It contributes in forming the clouds and pushing winds because of itsaerodynamic shape. So, Allah made a clear link between mountains and rains, Allah says: (He has created the heavens without any pillars that you see, and has set on the earth firm mountains lest it should shake with you. And He has scattered therein moving (living) creatures of all kinds. And we send down water (rain) from the sky, and we cause (plants) of every goodly kind to grow therein.)(Sûrat Luqmân- verse 10).
Also it contributes in sterilizing and purifying the water because of its different layers, God says: (And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains, and have given you to drink sweet water) (Sûrat Al-Mursalât-verse 27).
These mountains are considered to be an important warehouse to store ice as a source of sweet water, God says: (And it is He who spread out the earth, and placed therein firm mountains and rivers) (Sûrat Ar-Ra‘d- verse 3).
For thousands of years, the man used these mountains as a place to protect him from wild animals, cold and dangers, God says: (and has made for you places of refuge in the mountains) (Sûrat an-Nahl- verse 81).
The mountains contribute in balancing the vegetation cover because its shape and its ability to store water, God says: (And the earth we have spread out, and have placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of things in due proportion.)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse 19).
It contributes in affixing the earth ,also its shape allow valleys to formed which enable rivers to flow, God says: (And He has affixed into the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and rivers and roads,that you may guide yourselves.) (Sûrat an-Nahl- verse 15).
Without mountains, roads wouldn't be existed as a way of communicating people around earth as by studying the history of forming the earth through millions of years , we will see the great importance of the collision of the earth plates which formed the mountains to enable the formation of wide and paved roads which facilitates transportation and moving people through thousands of years. God says: (And we have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and we placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided.)(Sûrat Al-Anbiyâ’-verse 31).

These mountains are 4418 meter of height, it lies in California in the United States of America, it was formed because the movement and collision of earth plates which caused these high mountains! Any one see the colors of these mountains should remember the divine saying: (and among the mountains are streaks white and red, of varying colors and (others) very black.)(Sûrat Fâtir-verse27).

A mountain of basalt in island of Iceland, scientists say that these pillars are identical and it were formed by the lava, also they confirms on the importance of these pillars for life on earth.
After all of the above we can understand the meaning of the holy verses, God says: (And after that He spread the earth *and brought forth there from its water and its pasture*and the mountains He has fixed firmly*(To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle.)(Sûrat An-Nâzi‘ât- verse 30-33).

The lowest point on the earth

In this Article we will study God's saying: (The Romans have been defeated* in a land close by) to realize the greatness of our divine book (Qur'an) and to understand the amazing miracle in this verse...


The Qur'an tells us in an era when no man had got the knowledge to measure the lowest point on the surface of earth about a battle between the Romans and the Persians which was ended with a great victory to the Persians on the Romans , God says:( Alif-Lâm-Mîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]* The Romans have been defeated.* in a land close by (close by in the original Arabic text is: Adnaa), and they, after their defeat, will be victorious.* within three to nine years. The decision of the matter, before and after (these events) is only with Allah, (before the defeat of the Romans by the Persians, and after the defeat of the Persians by the Romans). And on that Day, the believers (i.e. Muslims) will rejoice (at the victory given by Allah to the Romans against the Persians)* with the help of Allah. He helps whom He wills, and He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.* (It is) a Promise of Allah (i.e. Allah will give victory to the Romans against the Persians), and Allah fails not in His Promise, but most of men know not.* They know only the outside appearance of the life of the world (i.e. the matters of their livelihood, like irrigating or sowing or reaping, etc.), and they are heedless of the Hereafter.)(Sûrat Ar-Rûm- verse1-7)


In this verse there is a determination for the ******** of the battle which was (in a land close by), so what does it mean? Can we understand it as the nearest land like old explainers or there is another meaning?


A trip of scrutiny


The old explainers had explained (in a land close by) as the nearest land (for the Romans to the Arabs) which is the area around the Dead Sea .


I concentrated in God's saying about Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Jerusalem,


It is only 20 kilometer far from the Dead Sea (battle field), He be exalted says:


(Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) Who took His slave (Muhammad) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Harâm(at Makkah) to Al-Masjid-al-Aqsâ(in Jerusalem), the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad) of Our Ayât(proofs, evidence, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer) (Sûrat Al-Isrâ’- verse 1), here I started to wonder, how did Allah describe the area of the Dead Sea that it is (close by) (close by in the original Arabic text is: Adnaa as the word Adnaa means the nearer) after that God describes the mosque in Jerusalem with (Al-Aqsa) (Al- Aqsa in the original Arabic text means the farther)?


After that I started to study the geographical maps of the Battleground where I found that this area is one thousand and two hundred kilometer far from Mecca, so, how the Qur'an described this area with (close by) which was understood as the nearest place where it is in reality 1200 km far from Mecca (where prophet Mohamed and his people were living)?


Hence I realized that if Allah means the nearest so why did He used (close by)?

Many meanings for the word


Allah be He exalted had created seven heavens and He called the lowest heaven (the lower heaven), He says :( So He completed them as seven firmaments in two Days, and He assigned to each heaven its duty and command. And we adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge) (Sûrat Fussilat- verse12)in the verse the word(the lower heaven) has got the meaning of the nearing to earth but it has another meaning which is the lowest heaven of the seven heavens.


Also God says :( And verily, we will make them taste of the near (near in the original Arabic text is: Adnaa as the word Adnaa has another meaning which is the fewer) torment (i.e. the torment in the life of this world, i.e. disasters, calamities, etc.) prior to the supreme torment (in the Hereafter), in order that they may (repent and) return (i.e. accept Islam).)(Sûrat as-Sajdah -verse21).


The explainers say that the word (the near) means the torments in this life but God doesn’t mean by (the near) is near to us but He be exalted means the small torment because He be exalted and blessed is comparing between two kinds of torments:


1. The near torment(Adnaa) which is the low torment.


2. The supreme torment which is the big torment.


How can we understand this verse?


The word(close by)(Adnaa) has three meanings in the arabic ********:


1. The nearer: as it is the nearest land of the Roman to the land of the Arabs.


2. The smaller:that area is so small and it doesn't exceed several kilometers when comapring with the area of all earth.


3. The lower:this area is the lowest area on earth as its surface is 422 metres (1,385 ft) below sea level.


This scientific preciseness can be found in God's saying :( Do they not then consider the Qur'an carefully? Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein many a contradiction.)(Sûrat An-Nisâ’- verse82).this verse tells us that because this is a divine book not a human book so we can't find any contradictions .where in the human books like science books we can find a proven theory in an era but in another era that theory could be corrected by another theory. But the Qur'an is valid for every era in every place.


A main characteristic in the Qur'an is that the Bedouin can understand it without any problem; also the nuclear scientists understand its meanings and the astronomers are the same. Which means it is a book that is valid for all people in all countries and in all eras.

The atmosphere falls on earth!

Do you know what the weight of the atmosphere is? Can it fall on earth? What makes it stable and attached to earth? It is the gravity and also the sickness of the atmosphere ….


My dear, to understand the word of "sky" which is mentioned in the Qur'an, we have to know that the atmosphere is our sky. In the Arabic ******** "anything above you is your sky", it contain clouds which are the source of rains, God says ) And we sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and we gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, we are Able to take it away.)(Sûrat Al-Mu’minûn- verse 18).

The sky(Heaven) extend to billions of light years and all seen galaxies and cosmic dust are in the heaven of the world, but the Qur'an told us about the possibility that the sky falls down on our heads.

At the time of the descending of Qur'an no one got the knowledge that the atmosphere is so heavy and no one knew that the elimination of that atmosphere may cause many dangers. The Qur'an told us about this reality in a great verse when Allah reminds us with his graces and how He Almighty keeps that cover from elimination.

At the time of the descending of the Qur'an no one knew that the air has a weight and if we calculated that weight we can find that it is up to 5 billion billion kilograms! Therefore the atmosphere which is our sky is so heavy.

Imagine, what may happen if a stone to weigh 5 billion billion kilograms fall down on earth? The one who holds that atmosphere is Allah as He exploited the rules by his unlimited power, for example if the density of the atmosphere is less than it is ,so it may evaporates and run away in the space and if gravity is less than it is the earth may not be able to hold the atmosphere. Hence Allah almighty selected the right size and weight for earth to keep the atmosphere tenacious. Because of that we can understand the holy verse :( He withholds the heaven from falling on the earth except by His Leave. Verily, Allah is, for mankind, Full of Kindness, Most Merciful)(Sûrat Al-Hajj- verse 65). We can understand this verse in two ways with no contradiction between science and Qur'an:

1. If we understand the sky (Heaven) as the atmosphere it will be right, as Allah keeps it from falling on us by His power as if it did the life will be terminated.

2. If we understand that the sky (Heaven) is the outer space it will be right as the collision of any space rocks or meteors will cause a destructive disaster. The scientists say that the possibility of any ****** to collide with the earth is so high, but the power of Allah almighty keeps our earth from the outer dangers and the inner dangers.

We can only say, thanks God for your graces: (Verily, Allah is, for mankind, Full of Kindness, Most Merciful.) (Sûrat Al-Hajj- verse 65).

Earth surrounded by bubbles

The existence of fizzy bubbles around the atmosphere is an amazing phenomenon as the temperature of these bubbles is up to ten millions degree centigrade. Why did Allah exploit it?….
The CNN website had published scientific news that the astronomers discovered huge explosions in the atmosphere around the earth, because of the explosion of giant bubbles of a very hot air which ascends and grow in size then it explode in the space around the earth.
Astronomers had found that this activity occur when the magnetic field of the earth meets a constant stream of particles flowing out from the sun. The scientists call these bubbles "density holes" In them; gas density is 10 times lower. The gas in the bubbles is 18,000,000 Fahrenheit (10,000,000 Celsius) instead of the 180,000 degrees Fahrenheit of the surrounding hot gas, which is known as plasma.
Scientists started to study these bubbles by a research team from the European space agency, the mission of that team called "cluster" which consisted of four space crafts. Concerning the temperature of these bubbles the team thought there is something wrong with their machines and gauges but George Parks from university of Californian said "Then I looked at the data from all four Cluster spacecraft. These anomalies were being observed simultaneously by all the spacecraft. That's when I believed that they were real".

Prof. Parks and his colleagues say that these bubbles extend to1000 kilometer and it last for ten seconds before it explodes. The scientists don't know exactly the reason and the way of forming these bubbles but they think that it is formed by the collision of solar winds with the magnetic field around the earth, they calls this phenomenon "the bow shock". This phenomenon is similar to the wake formed by the front of a boat. That discovery may help the researchers in "the physics of plasma".
Here we can ask ourselves, why did Allah put these bubbles around the earth? Scientists say that any phenomenon in the universe should have a purpose and target but that is despite their belief that universe came by coincidence!!!
But as a Muslims, we possess the greatest book on earth, we believe that God had created the earth and fit it for life, as He be blessed and exalted had created not only the atmosphere but also a very strong magnetic field and He added and exploited in addition bubbles to explode and to heat around the atmosphere to keep us and to be as a barrier between us and the killing solar winds.

Scientists say that the coming solar winds toward the earth may burn this planet!! But it's the mercy of Allah to provide our planet with different methods of protections to save and keep our atmosphere as He be blessed made it as a roof over our heads.
Here we can understand God's saying: (And we have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.).)(Sûrat Al-Anbiyâ’- verse 32). Glory to Allah as He said (And we have made the heaven a roof) as the atmosphere around us needs the power of God to save us not its own power because no creature has any power but the power of Allah , don't we have to thank Allah for His graces?
(And if you count the Blessings of Allah, never will you be able to count them. Verily, man is indeed an extreme wrong-doer, a disbeliever) (Sûrat Ibrâhîm- verse34).

The sea foam

It is nice and strange phenomenon, as the sea foam may form a huge amount of scum which extends to tens of kilometers; let us see these photos ….
This is a photo of the sea foam which is a complicated phenomenon and it happens in all seas due to the strong mixing of Impurities, organic materials, salts, dead plants and rotting fish in the sea…. Which form light foam but it extends to about fifty kilometer.

The scientists explain this phenomenon like putting milk in the mixer to form foam. But it disappears in the air, and whenever the movement of the waves became heavier the amount of the foam became larger.
Here are some scientific facts about the foam:
Foam forms only during the fast movement of water which caused by a hurricane or strong floods. It forms on the top surface of the water.
Weight of the foam is very light so it evaporates like vapor.
A small amount of water forms a large amount of foam, which means the foam has no weight or value.
The Qur'an told us about this phenomenon in a great verse, God says: (He sends down water (rain) from the sky, and the valleys flow according to their measure, but the flood bears away the foam that mounts up to the surface - and (also) from that (ore) which they heat in the fire in order to make ornaments or utensils, rises a foam like unto it, thus does Allah (by parables) show forth truth and falsehood. Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks, while that which is for the good of mankind remains in the earth. Thus Allah sets forth parables (for the truth and falsehood, i.e. Belief and disbelief).)(Sûrat Ar-Ra‘d- verse 17).if we study this verse we can find that it is compatible with the scientific facts:
The verse describes the way of forming the foam by the flooding of water through valleys in a strong and fast movement so God says:(and the valleys flow according to their measure, but the flood bears away the foam that mounts up to the surface), look at the word (mounts up) which describes the real action when the foam mounts up on the surface of the water.
The verse talks about a known Physical law which is law of density where we find the heavier material goes down and the lighter material goes up, this operation can be accelerated by heating as we see in steel factories when they start to heat the steel to high temperatures so that impurities moves up to form the foam which is discharged through special holes. Then the pure iron is gathered in the bottom. This characteristic applies to all materials in the nature.
The Qur'an referred to this operation in (and (also) from that (ore) which they heat in the fire in order to make ornaments or utensils, rises a foam like unto it) if we study forming of foam in seas and forming of it in steel factories we will find that the same physical operations happen in both of them. That precise description couldn't be mentioned by illiterate man who got no knowledge about seas or manufacturing of steel.
God says:(Then, as for the foam it passes away as scum upon the banks), the scientists say that the foam goes away by a little air because it is just some bubbles or a little scum , so the koranic expression is true.

Sea and sins foam
Prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) used a precise expression when he called the big sins as the foam. He said (who says: Glory and Praise be to Allah for one hundred times his / her sins will be erased even if they are like the sea foam) ,the prophet used the previous expression to tell us that our big sins can be easily erased like the sea foam by just repeating the name of Allah!

The balance in environment

Here are some facts about the environmental balance and how the Qur'an told us about these facts which testify that Allah almighty is the Great God, let us read….
Nowadays, people are concerned about the environment and the scientists realized the importance of the environmental balance and its effect on the life of all creatures (plants, animals, human) especially after the huge excreted amount of Pollutants in the twenty century.
Many decades ago, there were no pollution but in the last few years number of factories increased also the transportation methods increased which produces large amount of contaminated materials which causes dangerous diseases such as cancer.
That pollution had affected the aquatic organisms like fish also animals and plants. But God with His mercy put many filtration methods in these plants to purify the air from the poisoned materials.
As we know, the plant absorbs the carbon Gas and it releases the oxygen which helps human in breathing. The most strange thing is that amount of plants on earth is suitable for the size of the atmosphere.
There is an accurate balance between what the human gets from oxygen and between the amounts of released oxygen by plants. There is another balance between the released amount of carbon gas by human and the amount of carbon taken by the plants. Glory to Allah, the Qur'an told us about such environmental balance in a time when no one knows anything about the environment or the balance. God says: (And the earth we have spread out, and have placed therein firm mountains, and caused to grow therein all kinds of things in due proportion.)(Sûrat A-Hijr- verse 19).
Look at the preciseness of the words of the Qur'an as God be He blessed and exalted tells us that all kinds of things are in due proportion. For example the oxygen in the air is 21%, this percentage if it is more than that the earth may burn from the first spark and if it is less than that all creatures will suffocates.
Also the carbon gas is less than 1%, if the percentage is more than that, human will die and if it is less than that percentage all plants will die and life will stop.
If we go inside a cell of any green plant we can see a continuous manufacturing operation for the green material which produces grains and fruits.
The Qur'an told us about these operations, God says :( It is He Who sends down water (rain) from the sky, and with it We bring forth vegetation of all kinds, and out of it We bring forth green stalks, from which We bring forth thick clustered grain. And out of the date-palm and its spathe come forth clusters of dates hanging low and near, and gardens of grapes, olives and pomegranates, each similar (in kind) yet different (in variety and taste). Look at their fruits when they begin to bear, and the ripeness thereof. Verily! In these things there are signs for people who believe)(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 99).The Qur'an told us that the green material is formed first then the grains and fruits get out of the plants, that was confirmed by the modern science.

Every drop of water testifies that the creator is great, Allah almighty who created every thing in due proportion, any imbalance in life will cause a definite end of the world. Now we are living in the era of unbalancing as we hear about what is called the global warming We ask our God to save us from the evil of the environmental changes.
Hence, we ask a question, did prophet Mohamed (peace be upon him) study the plants and did he examine it under the microscopes? What makes that illiterate man to speak about these scientific issues? The answer is because he got all of his knowledge from God be He blessed and exalted who tough him every thing.
The Qur'an told us about the botany in many verses, here we have to mention that the Qur'an is the first book to speak about the existence of pairs in plants from hundreds of years before the modern science, God says :( Glory be to Him who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not.)(Sûrat Yâ-Sîn- verse 36) also He says :( And who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride) (Sûrat AZ-Zukhruf- verse 12).
So, I say to the atheists: is it possible for an illiterate man who lives in desert in the seventh century to tell us about this information which is identical with the modern science?

The Burning Sea

There are some facts which testify that Allah who descended the Qur'an is great, He be blessed and exalted told us about a burning sea and He swear by it, today the scientists show as some photos for that scene in the deep sea….

The earth fractures extend to cover seas and oceans, in the deep seas there are fractures where the molten fluid is leaking through it from the bottom of the earth. The modern science discovered these fissures where the molten lava is flowing out in the water for hundreds of meters that scene looks like a sea which is burning. The Qur'an told us about that scene when God says ( And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection) (Sûrat at-Tûr- verse 6).
Fourteen century ago, there were many myths and superstitions. Therefore, if the Qur'an was a human made, we may find some of these myths and superstitions in it. But the Qur'an is free of any of them which indicate that it is a divine book.
But the question is, what is the purpose of these fractures and how can it benefit the earth? The answer is that without these fractures and if the earth is one block, the heat and pressure will be kept inside it which will cause the earth crust to smash and the life to end.
So, we can say that these fractures work as holes for the earth to breath, in another word we can say it works as a safety valve to keep the earth stable and balanced.
The burning sea became a reality as we can see the molten lava in the deep oceans and seas while flowing and heating the bottom of the oceans till it freezes to form the mountains in the seas and oceans which form the volcanic islands. At the time of the descending of Qur'an no one knew that fact, who told prophet Mohamed about that?
He is Allah Almighty who know the secrets and knows everything, also He says about the burning seas: (And when the seas become as blazing Fire or overflow.)(Sûrat at-Takwîr- verse 6). After that the day of resurrection will come when the seas will explode, God says :( And when the seas are burst forth) (Sûrat Al-Infitâr- verse 3).
Here we can see how the Qur'an use the scientific facts to talk about future events as we see the seas are now burning in a limited way but at the day of resurrection all of them will burn and explode which is an evidence that day of resurrection will definitely occur.

Flowing molten lava in the bottom of the sea, we can see that it heats the water; therefore it is a burning sea as God said.

A real photo for the burning sea which was discovered after 14 century, that scene confirms the sincerity of the Qur'an which is the opposite of what the atheists say.

After the molten lava accumulates, the volcanic islands are formed. Scientists confirm that at the bottom of all seas there are fissures where the molten lava are flowing out, this phenomenon is terrifying so that God swear by it that His torment will occur, God says :( And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection) * Verily, the Torment of your Lord will surely come to pass * There is none that can avert it.)(Sûrat at-Tûr– verse 6-8).
Let us read the full text :( By the Tûr (Mount)* And by a Book Inscribed *In parchment unrolled* And by Al-Bait-ul-Ma‘mûr (the house over the heavens parallel to the Ka‘bah at Makkah, continuously visited by the angels)*And by the roof raised high (i.e. the heaven) *And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection)*Verily, the Torment of your Lord will surely come to pass* There is none that can avert it.) (Sûrat at-Tûr–verse 1-8).

As if he is climbing up to the sky

In this article we will see one of God's signs which refer to a new discovered scientific fact. Let us read ….

It was a human dream to climb up to the sky and there were many tries to do that from thousands of years, but all of them were ended by failure till the twenty century when human was able to study layers of the air and to uses that knowledge to fly and invade the space.


In a scientific way, the scientists started at the beginning of the twenty century to study the structure of the atmosphere and they proved that it consists of oxygen and nitrogen. The oxygen represents 21%of the air, the nitrogen is 78% and the other gases like carbon and water vapor are 1% of the air.


Any disturbance in these ratios will eliminate life on earth. But God's mercy had determined these ratios without any changes except in small ratios. Therefore God be He exalted made the sky as a roof to save and keep us from harmful objects in the space and also from the transmitted harmful rays from the sun.


Gravity and density laws "which were exploited by God to serve us" are dividing the atmosphere to many layers, each layer has its characteristics and benefits.


So the law of gravity holds the earth by the atmosphere during its turning. That atmosphere is attached to the earth despite the millions of years. Concerning the density law, the scientists had discovered that the heavy liquids goes down and the lighter goes up so when we mix oil with water in a cup, the oil became on the top and the water in the bottom because oil is lighter than the water.


The same is applying for gases ,as the light gas goes up and the heavy one goes down, that is what happens in the atmosphere , the air which is near to the earth ground is heavier than the air in the top layered………….


Hence, the air pressure, density and weight are gradually arranged till we reach the top layer of the atmosphere where there is no air or pressure.


The diminution of oxygen in the upper layers of the sky is a known scientific fact. So that we see mountains climbers put containers which are full of oxygen on their shoulders to breath with it while climbing because oxygen decreases at the tops of the mountains.

A satellite photo for Himalayas which are the world's highest peaks, scientists found that the oxygen decrease when we goes up till we reach a point where there is no oxygen.


The first feeling when human ascends to a higher place is dyspnea and constriction in the lungs till he suffocates and dies. This scientific fact was unknown at the time of the descending of the Qur'an as no one at that time knew anything about what is called oxygen also no one knew that when we goes up oxygen decreases.


But the holy Qur'an described this scientific fact precisely when God be He exalted described the strayed man who is far from his God as if a human who is living in the upper layers of the atmosphere as he can't breath and always feels with dyspnea and constriction in the lungs till he reaches the maximum point where he is going to die. God says :( and whomsoever He wills to send astray, He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky)(Sûrat Al-An’âm- verse 125).

God gave human two lungs and exploited the air in the atmosphere to him; also He descended the Qur'an with orders of happiness in the world and in the hereafter. So if the human is far from these orders, he will be as if he is ascending to the upper layers of the atmosphere where there is no air so his breast will be closed and he will suffer in his life till he dies.


God be He exalted told us about this scientific fact from hundreds of years in concise and few words as He says:(He makes his breast closed and constricted, as if he is climbing up to the sky).


Who told prophet Mohamed about this Physical Law? And who told him that human when ascends toward the sky feels with dyspnea and constriction in the lungs?
