It is one of the greatest cosmic explosions and is referred to as supernovas. It is 163000 light- years away and it exploded 161000 years ago, but it was only until 1987 that the explosion was seen when its light reached us. Astronomers say that the diameter round the explosion was 20000 light-years. A light-year is almost 9.5 million million Kilometers. They also confirm that the true ******** of this star is currently unknown and that specifying it requires extremely intricate calculations. It’s amazing; however, that the Holy Qur’an points out that people would travel using such spacecrafts and other means of transportation. These stars illuminate the surrounding cosmic smoke. Scientists say these stars work as "spotlights" or Flashlights that reveal the path for us and make us see dense clouds of smoke in the cosmos. If it was not for these spotlights, we would not be able to know a lot about the secrets of the universe. Allah, the Almighty, ahead of all Western scholars and scientists alluded to these spotlights with the name (lamps). Allah stated in Glorious Quran FUSSILAT (EXPLAINED IN DETAIL) 41:12, ‘And We adorned the lower heaven with lights, and (provided it) with guard. Such is the Decree of (Him) the Exalted in Might, Full of Knowledge.’ Scientists confirm that the best name for such distant stars is Flashlights (i.e, lamps) and this name was used in the Qur'an fourteen centuries ago, a testimony to the miracle of this great book! -------------------- By: Abduldaem Al-Kaheel |
