Money isn't just an economic phenomenon

Prof . Zaid Mohammed Al-Rommany

Money isn't just an economic phenomenon

According to the book "The Psychology of Money" by Dr. Akram Zidan, it is not a claim that money has a special place in our psychological life filled with many manifestations of pain, hope, mental arousal, emotion and emotion, because of its association with many motives, tendencies, needs, values and trends, and the desire to achieve oneself, or the search for happiness through it.

Sometimes money is of a painfully negative nature, although in the minds of many it is associated with positivity and happiness. If some of us associate money with happiness, or see that they are two sides of the same coin, that happiness is a happiness conditioned by the positive results for money.

In our lifestyle, psychological reality is not based on hatred or rejection of money, but what we refuse in money to be seen as everything in existence. It is inconceivable that money should become a primary target and target for all our actions and behaviors, because it is essentially a means associated with our activities, actions and behaviors to fulfill our duties.

Since our psychological and social desires are endlessly diverse and falsely linked to money, we want much more money than we really need, and individuals have become obsessed with money, whether it is too much or less. If the money is too much, the individual becomes obsessed with his management and dealings, and if he is a little obsessed with getting it.

Money is not only an economic phenomenon; it is also a psychological and social phenomenon.

There are many studies and theoretical, social and anthropological frameworks on the nature of money and wealth that confirm this; there is great interest on the part of economic sociology of the rich and the poor and the social implications of class differences between rich and poor.

Although some psychologists consider money to be an economic subject in economics, it is not in any way related to the psychology of the individual or society. It is true that money is an economic topic, when it speaks of supply, demand, standard of living, inflation and prices, but it becomes a psychological topic that relates to the individual and society. When we look at how people deal with it: how do they spend it and when to save it? When does money become a source of anxiety, pain and fear?

A researcher in the psychology of money can address it in relation to certain ethical aspects such as altruistic behavior, charity, zakat, and a sense of power and freedom, which is known as the ethics of money. Money can also be studied in relation to family, marital compatibility, income-satisfaction relationship to family life, and to what extent does money affect marriage? What types and areas of expenditure affect the family, whether in spending on food and the cost of living, or in spending on luxury, luxury and leisure?

In this area, the psychology of well-off couples and savers, the behavior of domestic consumption, the manifestations of husband and wife expenditure can be studied, and does family spending differ as a result of *** (male-female) or as a result of tendencies and interests or as a result of certain psychological or material needs?
