افتراضي Sanctity and love

Sanctity and love
Muhammad Wafiq Zayn Al `Abdin

In the name of Allah and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah.

Praise be to Allah who raised for us a banner in every field and made in this nation Muslims who teach people their religion and erase part of darkness.

So, Christians claim that our god (may He be Glorified and Exalted) is different from their god and they claim that their god is distinguished from the god of Muslims by sanctity and love!

This is pure lie, falsity, and ignorance of Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) and ignorance of Islam. Allah (may He be Exalted) is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, the Dominion, and the All-Holy; Exalted and Glorified be He. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "He is Allâh beside Whom Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects." [Surat Al Hashr: 23].

He says: "Whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth glorifies Allâh, the King (of everything), the Holy, the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." [Surat Al Jumu`ah: 1].

"Al Quddus is the one who is free of defects and Who is glorified and free of children and equals" as Al Bayhaqy (may Allah bestow mercy on his soul) said in "Al I`tiqad" (54).

Al Ghazaly (may Allah be merciful with him) said in "Al Maqsid Al Asna" (38): "He is the one Free of every tangible description or imagined by fancy, or mixed by illusion."

Imam Ibn Al Qayyim (may Allah be merciful with him) said in "Al Asma' Al Husna" (103): "He is the one free of any evil, shortage, and defect as the scholars of Tafsir said: He is the one free of any defect and free of anything that is not proper for Him."

The holiness of the Lord (may He be Glorified and Exalted) in Islam is complete unlike any other religion because He is glorified to have a partner, for He is the One and the Only.

Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And He is Allâh; Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He)." [Surat Al Baqarah: 255].

He also says: "Say (O Muhammad peace be upon him): "He is Allâh, (the) One. * Allâh-us-Samad [Allah- The Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need, (He neither eats nor drinks)]." [Surat Al Ikhlas: 1 - 2].

He also says: "No son (or offspring) did Allâh beget, nor is there any ilâh (god) along with Him. (If there had been many gods), then each god would have taken away what he had created." [Surat Al Mu'minun: 91].

He also says: "And say: "All praise and thanks are Allâh's, Who has not begotten a son (or offspring), and Who has no partner in (His) Dominion, nor He is low to have a Walî (helper, protector or supporter). And magnify Him with all magnificence, [Allâhu-Akbar (Allâh is the Most Great)]."" [Surat Al Isra': 111].

He is glorified to have a wife and children. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "He begets not, nor was He begotten." [Surat Al Ikhlas: 3].

He says: "No son (or offspring) did Allâh beget." [Surat Al Mu'minun: 91].

He says: "And they (Jews, Christians and pagans) say: Allâh has begotten a son (children or offspring). Glorified is He (Exalted is He above all that they associate with Him). Nay, to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and on earth, and all surrender with obedience (in worship) to Him."

He also says: "And say: "All praise and thanks are Allâh's, Who has not begotten a son (or offspring)." [Surat Al Isra': 111].

He is glorified to die or sleep, for He is the Ever-living, the Eternal Being. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And put your trust (O Muhammad peace be upon him) in the Ever Living One Who dies not." [Surat Al Furqan: 58].

Allah (Exalted be He) says: "Allâh! Lâ ilâha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), Al-Hayyul-Qayyuum (the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists). Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him." [Surat Al Baqarah: 255].

He says: "Whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish. * And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will remain forever." [Surat Ar-Rahman: 26- 27].

He is glorified to oppress anyone because He is the Just, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Surely! Allâh wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a small ant), but if there is any good (done), He doubles it, and gives from Him a great reward." [Surat An-Nisa': 40].

Imam Muslim reported in his Sahih on the authority of Abu Dhar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said in the Hadith which He reported from Allah (Blessed and Exalted be He) that he said: "O My Servants, I have made injustice forbidden for me, and made it forbidden to you, so do not oppress one another."

Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) is glorified to lie because His Promise is true and His Saying is the Truth. Allah (Blessed and Exalted be He) says: "And who is truer in statement than Allâh?" [Surat An-Nisa': 87].

He also says: "And whose words can be truer than those of Allâh? (Of course, none)." [Surat An-Nisa': 122].

Glorified be He to err or to forget. He says: "And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation." [Surat Al Mu'minun: 17].

He says: "And your Lord is not unaware of what you (people) do." [Surat Hud: 123].

Allah (may He be Exalted) informed people about his Prophet Moses (Peace be upon him) that he said to his people: "[Mûsâ (Moses)] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord neither errs nor He forgets."" [Surat Taha: 52].

Glorified be He to be poor or miser, for He is the Rich and the Possessor of great bounty. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "The Jews say: "Allâh's Hand is tied up (i.e. He does not give and spend of His Bounty)." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for what they uttered. Nay, both His Hands are widely outstretched. He spends (of His Bounty) as He wills." [Surat Al Ma'idah: 64].

He says: "O mankind! It is you who stand in need of Allâh. But Allâh is the Rich (Free of all needs), the Worthy of all praise." [Surat Fatir: 15].

Al Bukhari and Muslim reported in their Two Sahihs on the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Allah's Hand is full, and (its fullness) is not affected by the continuous spending night and day." He also said: "Do you see what He has spent since He created the Heavens and the Earth? Nevertheless, what is in His Hand is not decreased."

The features of His Holiness are countless.
As for the affection, Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) loves of His Believing Servants who obey and follow His Orders and the Sunnah of His Prophet (peace be upon him) and said about His Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "Say (O Muhammad peace be upon him to mankind): "If you (really) love Allâh then follow me (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur'ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."" [Surat Al `Imran: 31].

Furthermore, He loves the pious. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Yes, whoever fulfils his pledge and fears Allâh much; then verily, Allâh loves those who are Al-Muttaqûn (the pious)." [Surat Al `Imran: 76].

He also loves the repentant and the purified ones. Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted) says: "Truly, Allâh loves those who turn to Him in repentance and loves those who purify themselves (by taking a bath and cleaning and washing thoroughly their private parts, bodies, for their prayers)." [Surat Al Baqarah: 222].

He also loves those who put their trust in Allah. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "put your trust in Allâh, certainly, Allâh loves those who put their trust (in Him)." [Surat Al `Imran: 159].

Moreover, Allah loves the good-doers. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Verily, Allâh loves Al-Muhsinûn (the good-doers)." [Surat Al `Imran: 134].

He also loves those who are just. He says: "And be equitable. Verily, Allâh loves those who are the equitable." [Surat Al Hujurat: 9].

Allah loves those who fight in His Cause as one line. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Verily, Allâh loves those who fight in His Cause in rows (ranks) as if they were a solid structure." [Surat As-Saf: 4].

Out of Love to His Servants He does not satisfy disbelief for them. He says: "And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you."[Surat Az-Zumar: 7].

Allah wants to forgive their sins. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Allâh wishes to accept your repentance." [Surat An-Nisa': 27].

He forgives minor sins, not polytheism. He says: "Verily, Allâh forgives not that partners should be set up with Him (in worship), but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He wills." [Surat An-Nisa': 48].

He wants to guide the people. He says: "Allâh wishes to make clear (what is lawful and what is unlawful) to you, and to show you the ways of those before you, and accept your repentance, and Allâh is All-Knower, All-Wise." [Surat An-Nisa': 26].

He wants easiness to them. He says: "Allâh intends for you ease, and He does not want to make things difficult for you." [Surat Al Baqarah: 185].

He does not love corruption for them. He says: "And Allâh likes not mischief." [Surat Al Baqarah: 205], as He was merciful with the believers.

For these reasons and for the attributes of Allah (may He be Glorified and Exalted), believers seek to have His Pleasure (Blessed and Exalted be He) by seriousness, work, and endeavor, not by calling only, as they still searching and studying the causes by which a Muslim gains Allah's Love.

If love and sanctity had reached that great status in the hearts of Muslims, why they —not others— seek to die in the cause of Allah (may He be Exalted) and their condition is: "Think not of those who are killed in the Way of Allâh as dead. Nay, they are alive, with their Lord, and they have provision. * They rejoice in what Allâh has bestowed upon them of His Bounty and rejoice for the sake of those who have not yet joined them, but are left behind (not yet martyred) that on them no fear shall come, nor shall they grieve. * They rejoice in a Grace and a Bounty from Allâh, and that Allâh will not waste the reward of the believers." [Surat Al `Imran: 169- 171].

Why they, not others, abandon forbidden acts and avoid doubtful matters? Why they, not others, spend money, leave families and homes, and observe patience on hardships to perform the rituals of Hajj and `Umrah? Why they, not others, leave beds and sleep in order to stay up at night for Salah?

It is enough to mention the view of the French orientalist (Gustave Le Bon) in His Book "The civilization of Arabs" (p. 417- 418): The influence of Muhammad's religion in people's lives is greater than any other religion and the different ethnics, which took the Qur'an as their guide, are still working according to its rulings as they have been doing thirteen centuries ago. Yes, you may find a few number of Muslims who do not believe in the rulings of the Qur'an, but few are those who dare to violate the sanctity of Islam by not complying to its basic teachings such as Salah in mosques and the fasting of Ramadan which take into consideration all Muslim rulings despite the strictness of these rulings.

However, who desires to understand the reality of the eastern nations, which the Europeans did not understand but little, should realize the great power of religion in the selves of their children.

A Muslim observer or even an atheist should respect that deep faith which Arabs could use it to open the entire world for Islam in the past and nowadays, they observe patience on hard destiny.

Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allâh as rivals (to Allâh). They love them as they love Allâh. But those who believe, love Allâh more (than anything else). If only, those who do wrong could see, when they will see the torment, that all power belongs to Allâh and that Allâh is Severe in punishment." [Surat Al Baqarah: 165].

On the other hand, how much sacred the god of the Christians, but rather his sanctity and alleged love is a mere lie and the proof to that is the ugly descriptions which they attributed to Him, in a time no one accepts these attributes to himself, not to mention their alleged god.

On the top of these false claims are: claiming that Allah is one of three gods or god is Jesus Christ, the Son of Mary.

May Allah guide them to the truth in order to know that Allah is One and does not resemble His Creation.
